F18 Spanish Nats 2024

These two Argies are on a roll. After complete dominance of the 2024 French Nats, this weekend Pablo Volker & Federico Polimeni won the Spanish F18 Championships obtaining seven bullets out of nine races

Conditions were double trap and waves for the first two days, and 1 trap light winds for Sunday, where they lost their first race after 13 consecutive bullets coming from previous event. Lucas Gonzalez Smith & Guillermo Castellano (Scorpion / 1D) took that bullet from them and later Toni Rivas & Jordi Sanchez (Akurra) grabbed theirs to consolidate second overall.

Third place went to Emeric Dary & David Fanouillere (Goodall Akurra) , repeating podium too from French Nats.

Our thought following the event was: “They are (almost) untouchable”. Impressive performance few times seen within European events, the only we can remember with such dominance is Mischa Heemskerk & Stephan Dekker at the 2017 Worlds.

One month left now for the Formula 18 2024 Worlds, Pablo & Fede are Nr 1 candidates, not only on these two past Nats titles but on their performance at Travemunde 2023.
