“The Lallo Petrucci trophy, a national regatta for Class A catamarans took place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May at Circolo Vela Cesenatico.
26 catamarans present from all over Italy divided into the Classic and Foil fleets. Nice memory also during the award ceremony of Lallo Petrucci, who passed away last year, a figure of absolute reference for the entire catamaran movement and a true Italian pride.
Six races were held as scheduled with wind mainly from the SE quadrant between 6 and 10 knots. Among the Classics, Marco Radman wins by just one point, ahead of Manuel Vaccari and a consistent Francesco Mainero. In 4th and 5th, a welcome return to the Class for Teo Di Battista and Riccardo Mellina Gottardo respectively with Lallo’s creatures.
Among the Foils Stefano Casadei wins, Giuseppe Colombo second, and Paolo Mangialardo third. Beautiful, exciting, tactical, technical regattas, never predictable, with continuous changes in wind and intensity.”
