St Barth Catacup 2022: Tim Mourniac & Yves-Pierre Durand swept the fleet to #1

Complete swept by Tim Mourniac & Pierre Yves-Durand. Tim following the steps of Dad JC Mourniac, former winner of the Catacup and long time F18 top sailor. Mourniac Jr has been sailing and racing cats since a kid, including 2016 Nacra 15 World Title, and along another experienced F18 sailor like Yves-Pierre Durand they managed to dominate the invitational fleet (filled with talented top crews like current World Champ Ravi Parent) . All bullets for the french team on board a Goodall Akurra.

Tim along Ravi are key members of the new generation which is replacing the long time Catatamaran Racing legends.

Second place overall for Bontemps-Amiot (Scorpion / SI) and 3rd for Demesmaker-Gagliani (Goodall Akurra)

Photos: Pascal Alemany / Pierrick Contin, later more will be uploaded. Check gallery at stbarthcatacup.com
On the videos, pity to see the now 1min flashy 1 second shots when the Catacup had the very best footage in the past. Get all that excellent filming a proper 5 mins long shots video we are used to from this great regatta.
