That is what every Manufacture does. Hobie did the hard work and came out with the long boards, so is Nacra now cashing in with the long board up grade? It's called evolution.
Remember these guys tested 3-4 platforms last year before the worlds they tested different sail, board rudder set ups and came up with the best all round package.
So I think you could say they have done all the hard work.
