AC45s Plymouth: Final Day, Powered Up & Carnage

Mitch Booth had a dream, he talked about it minutes before the start. He woke up in the middle of the night on a nightmare where one of the Oracle boats led to the first mark and pitched on hard with the rest of the fleet ended piled up in a horrible mess.

Luckily enough the dream was not that accurate, although the reality was hard enough. Energy ‘capsized’ to avoid Korea that was on irons goping backwards, so Loick joined the club but it was almost intended.
Then Artemis lifted GreenComm’s hull to its deck, never saw that one before!
China on a huge gust was over too at the 1st mark and I think Artemis went over (two times)
The three most experienced teams, Oracle 4 y 5 and ETNZ push hard on those conditions and they had a close race till the finish.

Fair to say that Plymouth week ASC45s Week and Broadcasting was the best show I’ve ever saw. Thanks  for people like Coutts, head of the past sailing monohull establishment, now changing the Game for the future generations. This IS Sailing right now.

I know of someone Up there laughing quite hard and enjoying the show: Nathaniel Herreshoff

Check the replays, day 7 is worth watching, the same with with the rest of the days.
