F18 North Americans 2024, Day 1 Results

–
28knots measured yesterday at San Francisco Bay for the first day of the 2024 F18 North Americans.
Matthew Whitehead & Matthew Monts (Goodall Akurra) lead after 3 races held in good breeze with the last in extreme conditions where even top crews went all in donwind.
Charles Froeb & Matt Marfaing (Nacra Evo) in second and Olypmpic sailor David Liebenger & Len Weibkichhel 3rd (Cirrus R).
Argies mates who travelled to race the NA had a harsh day, first upwind leg in good top 3 position they pitch hard and broke bowsprit. They went back ashore to assemble a new one and reached just in time for the third race of the day, when it was blowing a bit.. 28knots measuered. They finished that one second over the line.
Today similar conditions expected. No pics available yet.
