F18 Worlds 2024 Day 3

Another long day at Ballena Alegre. Blue & Yellow fleets went our early but only managed to complete one race each. The crews were sent to shore and luckily enough the wind established a bit 2hrs later and the officials could complete the six qualifying races with one discard entering the game.

Argie crews Cruz Gonzalez Smith-Mariano Heuser (Akurra) and Pablo Volker-Fede Polimeni (Akurra) took a bullet each on the first race, later 9th-3rd to close the day and R6 1st-2nd, to grab the lead and second overall respectively.
Bader-Peters (Nacra Evo) had a 21st in Q6 but they keep a top 3spot entering the Finals.

Tomorrow Gold and Silver fleets split, all top riders will be together racing for the title. Nothing is defined as lots of crews with chances, like 4rth overall Dary-Fanouilliere (Akurra) who scored two bullets today, Pascahlidis-Trigonis (Scorpion/1D) old foxes have room to climb, Burvill-Puttman (Edge/NxtGen) scoring 14-1-2 for the day, Argies currently 5th, Krevisky-Benitez (Scorpion/1D) and many more are ready to aim for the 2024 F18 Crown at the harsh conditions Costa Brava is offering this week.
