F18 Worlds 2024: Practice Race by Marc Graupera Aloma

Earlier today the F18 fleet at Costa Brava went out for the practice race, 12 to 15 knots, as usual not all team participating et all, but still somehow a reference. The info we have is that Burvill-Puttman and another Aussie crew sailing Edges were leading to the second windward mark and left the course there, Volker-Polimeni were behind and after the last downwind leg they didn’t pass the finish line, a common practice for many to avoid bad omens.

Tomorrow official racing starts. 135 boat registered.

Luckily enough this edition we will have plenty of photos, thanks to the local org which always provides hundreds of pics via a great photographer like Marc Graupera Aloma, remember 2018 Euros or 2019 Worlds.
In contrast past 2023 Worlds we only found around 10 pics tops total for the entire week…
