Nacra 17 Last Tickets to Paris Olympics 2024

The Nacra 17 fleet saw past weekend the literal ‘Last Chance Regatta’ to secure a ticket for Paris 2024. Four countries got that precious reward racing at Hyeres Semaine Olympique.

The Teams obtaining a slot to represent their countries and race for the 2024 Olympic Gold were:

Denmark: Natacha Saouma-Pedersen & Mathias Brun-Boreskov
Turkey: Alican Kaynar & Bete Kaynacki
Japan:Shibuki Itsuka & Oura Nishida Capiglia
Belguim: Lucas Claeyssens & Eline Verstraelen

Canada couldn’t qualify as they finished 1pt behind Team Japan, and the Greek crew was a bit behnd inspite of Danny’s chrge in the last races.

The four teams above will join the already qualified nations:

8. Finland (FIN): Sinem Kurtbay & Akseli Keskinen
9. Spain (ESP): Tara Pacheco & Andres Barrio
10. United States (USA): (pending trials)
11. Brazil (BRA): (pending trials)

Next big Nacra 17 event will be 2024 Worlds at La Gran Motte, May 4-12.
