A-Cat Swiss Nats 2023 @Maccagno: Titles for Cesari & Weis
After the German Nats held couple of weeks ago, the Swiss, German & Italian A-Class sailors went to Maccagno for the 2023 Swiss Open.
In the Open fleet Lamberto Cesari (D3/ Brewin) dominated with 3 bullets out of six races, followed by Robin Maeder (Scheurer / Mischa) and Emmanuel Dodé (D3 /North). Lambi continues to improve his A-Cat racing skills, obtaning this title will set a good confidence for coming events, as the speed was already there.
Classics saw the German squad storming the podium, with the future World Champ Moritz Weis (D3 / Landenberger) taking the overall and two historic riders who I respect plenty and met back in Euros 2014, that also have put the hours for Class management: Mathias Dietz ( D3 / Landenberger) and Georg Reutter (Nikita / Landy Classic) finishing second and third respectively.
Full German podium on sails too, build our friend Felix Egner, who is supporting Moritz in and out of the water with some Loft time.
Glad to see new generations taking the advantage of the work done by Georg, Mathias and many other sailors in the Class. We hope in the future the younger sailors will continue to drive the Class forward.
