New Nacra 500

Nacra will update the Nacra 500, an excellent 16 feet / 5mts recreational platform which can also provide plenty of fun for seasoned riders, in 2007 we made a 16′ daggerless cat here in Arg after we lanuched the RC F18 in 2005, and for the 16 I looked to the Nacra platform & rig as a reference along the Loday White Spitfire. Now Nacra updates the 500 hull to a wave piercing look. Below preview sent by Bob Hensen / Nacra :

With the new N500 we want to enforce our new vision. We want to encourage, engage and empower all levels of sailors. This boat will be an accessible stepping stone into the world of catamaran sailing.
The boat is infused with Nacra’s experience in the high-performance catamaran scene and makes this experience and knowledge accessible for all.

This catamaran will feel light, stiff, and direct; qualities you would expect from a Nacra. The boat will be highly durable and a trill to sail. We see a target group in clubs sailors, recreational boat owners and potentially sailing schools. You emphasize fun, ease of handling, and service over performance. Freeriders!
