A-Cat March 2021 weekend training in BA

With the arrival of the 2020 D3s the local fleet got new impulse and we gather this weekend for some race and foil trainings. 5 races in light winds and good 9 breeze coming late for some foiling fun. Several guys coming from 500kms to sail with us in BA. Fleet of F18 and A-Cats is expanding in Arg inner provinces.

The new D3s 2020 still to get tuned up to par a 2018 D3 with Z22 & 380mm winglets. A 2018 D3 equipped with an 8.30m mast and great Landy radial done by Felix Egner did good in the super light breeze races. I will return to sail next weeks tops so took the chance to start some races for the guys and took a few shots. One of the sailors, Nico Quagliotti, an F18 crew helped along, later he was handed a D3 to race one, and he won it! Great having the “race officer” going out and winning a race, was epic! As I’m sorry to say great % of the guys starting us in major events here in Arg we doubt they have ever sailed…

We measured 6.4 knots for top guy to start flying. Really good , considering what we saw yesterday in the AC final…. what a lottery, fill for those guys onboard, from both teams.
