F18 German Open 2020: Win for Helge & Christian Sach
F18 German Open 2020
The event was part of the Mövenstein Regatta and held at the Lübecker Yacht-Club e.V., provided another competitive ground for the new Nacra F18 Evo. Helge & Christian Sach are living legends in the F18 Class, World Champions back in 2006 (Over Bundock & Ashby) , they keep maintaining top level. The Sach have sailing Nacra last years, past week I received the news the got a Scorpion and that they were racing German Open.

Happy for them, and a high honor having the Sach bros racing the Scorpion. They won the event followed by future Champ Jesse Lindstadt (2019 Nacra 15 WChamp, currently sailing Nacra 17 too) and his father Sven.
Both teams with same sails: Edit: I’ve been informed both boats have Kangaroo DS Mainsail, along Jib & Spi by Kangaroo Sails built by Sven. Great result for both teams and pretty competitive just looking the results, with the Sachs scoring 5 bullets and 3 for the Lindstadt. Helge & Christian were more consistent and won by a good margin, on the Lindstadt Team low start.
We hope to see both teams racing coming regattas in Europe and 2021 Worlds in Italy.
Third place overall for Gerd Schmitzer & Tina Vercouteren, featured above sailing our Aussie friends Windrush Edge by Brett Burvill & Nxt Gen Sails by Max Puttman.

Thank you for the great post. Please correct: both Sach and Lindstädt were sailing Kangaroo Sails Decksweeper, Jib and Gennaker.
Best regards! Jesse
