I remember when the latest wave of foiling began a decade ago many were sending foilers platforms to be published. I was not impressed on the foiling per se, as it has been around for more than 100 years, but the new breakthrough of the early 2010s was targeting flights for actual ,even pre TNZ AC72, like Fischer/Exploder Mayfly A-Cat.

Series above show Tabarly efforts already trying to apply the foiling tech available those years for offshore Regattas.

Seeing what Gabart and many others Frenchmen are doing now on their Atlantic crossing flights keeps confirming what a truly Pioneer, Innovator & Visionary Eric Tabarly was.
