Live tracking for 2019: here
We usually get about 8-12 boats which is pretty good for a long distance event, and also considering it is the #1 vacation weekend of the summer.
We mostly get F18s/ F16sbut we have had in the past some larger multis (Farriers etc)
The race is scored on SCHRS with each leg being scored 1,2,3 etc. It is not on cumulative time. NOR for 2019 event with more details about the race.
Annual “Running of the Cats”
Around Prince Edward County
Long Distance Multihull Regatta
THE Ultimate multihull long distance regatta on the Great
Lakes
This is a 3 leg long distance event which covers approximately 200km.
Prince Edward County is an island in Lake Ontario. The race will start in Trenton and go clockwise. Each leg is designed so that even with minimal wind (5 knots) the legs won’t be too long. The shortest leg time to date was about 3 hours in a 15 knot breeze and the longest was 8 hours in 3-4 knots of wind.
Double handed boats only with spinnaker.
F18s will probably be the biggest class but all beach cats will be scored together.
There will also be a class for bigger multihulls.
We organize a trailer to bring your gear around so you don’t need shore crew.
