Nacra 17 @Kiel Week, Day 8
Photo ©www.segel-bilder.de – Watch Nacra 17 races in video above at 05h:30 mins . Official event web kieler-woche.de – Lots of top notch Olympic crews at Kiel. Nathan & Haylee Outteridge keep climbing positions , now 8th overall. Gimson & Burnet lead, followed by Waterhouse-Darmanin and Jones-Saunders.
Excellent performance for our young Arg team, Mateo & Euge scoring bullets and 2nds in the Gold fleet for a 5th overall. So proud of these two, putting heart and effort, something the millionaires football players aren’t in Russia.
Shame seeing those guys wearing Arg colors not putting everything they have. No matter if you lose 10-0, you always have to leave everything in thee field/course.
As many previous teams and the mighty Batistuta (being the epitome of an Arg tough & heartful player) did in the past as aside his goals, for ie he was the only one running when Arg lost 5-0 to Colombia here in BA years ago on a World qualy match.
In sailing Lange-Carranza at Rio and Santi’s cancer fight, along the rest of the Olympic Arg sailing teams, always fighting for budgets & resources, many paying great part of their campaigns themselves like Majdalani-Bosco are doing.
Thus seeing Messi and rest of the team not running , not leaving everything was a shameful view as few times seen in 40 yrs. I can affirm these guys are the worst show of pride ever. Again, no matter if you lose, but you need show respect for the sport and your country leaving everything to the last minute. Just like the Germans did today vs Sweden.
