Ronde Tiengemeten @Hellecat 2017: Sunnucks-Self / M20 Vampire 1st

That I remember this is William Sunnucks M20 Vampire win over F20FCS and others in continental Europe. Great achievement for William & Mark Self vs experienced F10 sailor like Xander Pols & Colin van Vugt.

The F18s as always doing good with Jolbert van Dijk & Frank de Waard in 3rd overall (Nacra Infusion) and Pieter Oskam & Tony Mels in 5th with the Scorpion.
between them a Nacra F16 curved boards sailed by Robin & Sander Mineur.

I always get inquiries if an A-Class can do long distance. Of course it can but clearly As have a weather & sea conditions. There is a range when you can keep pushing hard with the F18 for ie, where the A will get overpowered and will offer a tough wild ride. But if conditions allow the A can be an excellent and smooth Long Distance weapon.
Wiro Ziljmans finished 7th overall with a foiling A-Class among a large fleet of foilers and spi equipped racing cats.
Will request real finishing times to get a better view of the results.

On the course racing reagattas held at Hellecat this weekend, Jolbert & Frank (F18 Nacra Infusion) won over Robin & Sander Mineur (Nacra F16 Curved foils) . 3rd overall were Pols & van Vugt (Nacra F20FCS).
The Vampire struggled a bit in windward-leeward races for an 11th overall.

– F20FCS 86
– M20 Vampire 85
– Nacra F16 curved foils 103
