Update: Good Day 1 video by Hartas Production . +200 photos published from Day 1 , check selection andn link to full gallery here.
— 2017 Worlds @Vallensbaek started officially today. Winds around 6 -12 knots and three races completed for a really good initial day.
Still much to go but many of our candidates from yesterday delivered: Demesmaeker-Tas got 1,1,10 , Sach bros 1,16,2 .
On the crews we pointed out to look before the event on their experience but with little hours on brand new boat, sails and mast Mitch Booth & his son Ruben finished 2,4,3 and Paschalidis-Trigonis 3,3,5 for a really nice first day for both crews.
Heemsker-Dekker I have reports on them with technical issues with 8, DNF, 15. The DNF is a mast dropped I’ve been informed. Northrop-Barther scored 5,6,8.
Our Arg crew also delivered with a slow 24th on the first race to close the day 2 & 4th. Showing the good level they always had.
The course needs some local knowledge on course side pressure changes as reported by the Arg crew.
Official results are divided by fleet, on the overall done by us and provisional we have locals Daniel & Nicolaj Bjørnholt leading the fleet with 7pts , followed by Mitch & Ruben Booth 9pts in second place. Third & Fourth overall tied in pts but Leff Dahl & Terese Anstman from Sweden finished 2,1,8 to secure a third place over Paschalidis-Trigonis 3,3,5 for 11pts overall for these two crews.
