49er South Americans 2015 for Burling-Tuke
All Images Matias Capizzano – More at his FB page. Past week the 49er feet had good strong winds & our usual chop. This weekend saw warmer climate and less intensity. Yesterday ending with nice conditions for Kites, I took some good pics, will publish later. Today it was light racing conditions where only Foil/Foil Kites (Foil sail & underwater foil) and latest tech foiling As were having a blast in 7-8knots.
I went out with a 8mt sail and Formula ws type board (Cat less at the moment) to see As closer and managed to plane for moments, downwind the A-Class was full perfect foil for the new rig. I saw the 49ers going back to shore on unsteady around 8-10knots and strong current.
Peter Burling & Blair Tuke don´t care much where they race, they always finish first, a true mark of superior sailing as when Bundock & Ashby came to BA to grab the 206 Tornado Worlds. This was only South American title for the Kiwis, but a good sign on their performance for incoming 49er Worlds next starting in 8 days.
