All Images Matías Capizzano / www.capizzano.com – More at his FB page fb.com/capizzanophotography/ – Rainy morning for Day 2, stopping past noon with a late breeze entering over Rio de La Plata for the 49er fleet to complete 2 races for the day here in San Isidro. Yago & Klaus Lange were the best crew of the day scoring 2 & 2 to lead the event after 5 races 1pointt ahead of Peter Burling & Blair Tuke.
Nothing defined and still much to go, but this ‘photo’ right here is a massive achievement for these kids with so little time racing 49er or even sailing together. Having a talented double Olympic medalist as your father is not enough, is only someone to lookup and respect.
To perform yourself you need to train even harder than Santi, learn and fully commit to a program while leaving all problems behind to sail at this level.
Yago & Klaus have shown yesterday they can held the Lange sailing heritage head high, performing under pressure against another excellent local Arg crew like Segers & Villambrosa (10th overall), a highly competitive Olympic fleet (one year from Rio) and against the best sailors in the World right now: Peter Burling & Blair Tuke.
