GC32s @Marseille: Alinghi 1st & Oman takes 2015 Series
All Images Sander van der Borch / G32 Racing Tour. Last reduced event for the GC32s. The Class will move forward for 2016 to a bigger Circus. More than 1yr ago we thanked the good services of the X40s and called for the GC32s to replace it for the Extreme Series.
After analyzing some other options, the ESS management decided not to re invent the wheel and went straight forward with the GC32s, a Laurent Lenne’s project which was designed by Martin Fischer. More on the GC32 and the ESS soon.
At Marseille 2015 Alinghi finished first and Oman took the overall 2015 crown with part of the Artemis team onboard (Outteridge & Percy). The AC45 foiling series already have begun (yes they are actually racing although we cannot watch them Live…) and the G32s will become a mandatory training ground for AC teams.
