Nacra 17 Europeans 2015 @Barcelona: Day 2, & Santi Lange’s health news
All Images Laura Carrau / BISC . Bundy & Nina pushing the young British crew of Saxton & Groves on a rough sailing day at Barcelona. Franck Cammas goes back to the Olympic arena after winning the C-Class Cup past week and with Sophie de Turckheim are holding 3rdc overall.
Franck is definitely the most complete sailor in the World, Olympic racing, Volvo in monohulls, foiling C-Class & FP and more, he is missing though racing the A-Class against Ahsby & Mischa to complete the show. And if Bundy returns to the As along Besson, I wont be worrying too much on not being able to see s of those AC45 events…
On other news, one of our greatest local Arg sailors, Santi Lange, confirmed on Juanpanews sailing web today about his critical lung surgery which was done at Barcelona past weeks, now he is in the recovery stage.
I’m aware of this for some time now but as no official news were published I kept radio silence as due. I just sent a mail to Santi telling him to get well asap as he has plenty of racing coming on them being already qualified for Rio, with next stop F18 Worlds in Buenos Aires after the Olympics, and also to get sailing for pure fun on an A-Class.
Of course all these events and getting back to sail is secondary to him getting optimal health again.
So “Nono” or Grandpa as I call him, get well soon that your family and friends and those who get to know you are wishing only the best, all of us want to see in good shape and sailing again –
A Barcelona Ceci Carranza is sailing with AC45 Youth helm and future Lange’s path follower, Mateo Madjalani.
A second crew getting experience in the Class are Nahuel Martinez & Euge Bosco of whom I reported on their background past Kiel Week championships.
