Low winds for the first race:” 5-6knots , choppy on the fleet and stable course conditions, ‘Speed Race'” as I’ve been reported minutes ago from Kiel – Fleets went ashore after first Race.
Great racing for US Champs Mike Easton & Tripp Burd on Matt’s Falcon, leading over defending champs Larsen-van West & Zeekant-Begemann on the light wind weapons and proven Infusions. Mischa & Francesco had a good race for being the first and 5 knots in the Scorpion, check Track replay on how they managed to kept rhythm in the first legs, they finished 7th behind Trecul , Reiss-Whitehead (C2), Veenman & de Ward(Inf) and ahead of Paschalidis-Dyrssen (C2)
In Blue fleet Simon Northtrop-Josh O’brien (Inf), winners of 2015 Texel Course Racing with his own built & designed sails proving he is on a mission this year. Sach-Sach
were second (Inf) and Ashby-Goodall 3rd with C2, Justus Wolf 4th , and Mitch with his son Ruben 5th on the Wildcat.
Only one race today, more wind expected for tomorrow.
