F18 Worlds 2014 @Ireland, Day 2: Larsen, Ashby, Reiss
All Images Jasper van Staveren // Clearly the F18 is not a walk in the Park to Ashby like the A-Class. Even in a reduced fleet, for the usual +100-180 IF18CA Worlds fleet. I’m still figuring out which Class put their dates after , the F18 or the N17 Class for their Europeans?

Close racing at Bangor, with Larsen-van West leading followed by Ashby-Goodall. Behind them a mix of Master & Junior F18 Worlds Champs like the Sach bros and Taylor Reiss-Matthew Whitehead, the US hopes already getting used to the top spots.
More youths in the top ten with Tim Mourniac helming for his dad JC, another french team and new hopes with a strong reality Lois Berrehar & Hugo le Pomelec, the kids we featured since Carnac are 8th overall.
One of the favorites crews before the event and 2014 french champs, Bontemps-Amiot getting into pace a little late with some +15s that are holding them back in the 7th overall.
The Arg crew is doing quite well with the Cirrus R , a boat they never sailed, saying a lot for Manu Boulogne work.
On the designs you have: Infusion, C2, C2, Infusion, C2, Cirrus R, Phantom,Infusion, Cirrus R & Infusion.
Last race was held in +20knots with the Arg team reporting tough conditions, but they managed to score another 9th.
Still much to go and the with the top 4 contenders in a good position and Larsen-van West with a 10pt lead.
