“A Perfect Day”: Peyron & Outteridge Flying the Phantom
This was a great sailing day. It started with the Long Distance, organized by Yacht Club Carnac, as we followed Gurvan Bontemps & Ben Amiot sailing perfect handling and navigation on the FP to score the raid win.
It continued later with two of the most talented (+nice & humble) sailors on the planet flying / having fun with this super stable airborne machine.
Then the RSBC kids got the rides of their lives, and the day ended with nice flat 8-9knots sunny conditions for some good rides with Nathan on the FP.
Seeing this boat flying is almost a surreal experience, sailing it , well… it just blow your mind.
Special place, Perfect Day. It was a privilege and pure blasting fun.
On Nathan’s words:”In 5 seconds you are foiling with a smile on your face…”
Thanks again to Alex Udin for the invitation. Many have the will, but very few go full forward to fulfill their dreams, and I can testify first hand, this one came true all the way for him.
Also big thanks for all the fine people I met for the first time (or seen again) at Carnac/La Trinité: Pierrick, Maurice, Ben, Gurvan, Nico, Yannick, David & Elaine,Carlo, Lamberto, Rachele, Emma,
Nathan, Ferdinand, Iker , Antoine, Thomas, Gael, Gunnar, Manu, Olivier, Henry, all the Benjamins, Benoit, Tibo, Hervé , Arnaud, the French F18s gang and many others with pure good vibes. Language apart..! I felt at home.
Remember to book & plan your trip to the Eurocat Next year, go F18 racing on a perfect spot, and if you are a lucky guy, sail the long distance on a Flying Phantom.
