What a bunch of self interest BS. I think Martin is a very smart designer, and I agree 100% regarding his views on how to make the A cat foil and the current restrictions but there is no need to knock the current class. Everyone has an opinion and time will tell. The class has some of the best sailors involved in the decision making. The correct choice will be made in due course. The class is stronger than it has ever been and the potential to increase cost of a new boat close to 50,000K will kill the class a lot quicker than not doing it. The good guys wanting to foil are already sailing Moths and some both Moths and A's as the current A cat is a beautiful boat in its current configuration. We need to tread carefully not to hurt the current class and this goes especially to those who's are seen to be leaders in the sport such as MF.
