F18 Worlds 2013 @Grosseto: Day 1

Not much info form Grosseto, Race 1 was delayed and that’s it…all news for now. More later if available.
Update: One race completed and day cancelled due to squalls and Lightning.
Thanks to my friend Jasper van Staveren we can have a view of today’s racing. Just received these images above, more at CSN FB. Conditions were light and growing to squals. Only once race completed-  Check your images to buy at Jasper web www.sailshoot.com

Update 2: Well, as pointed in my last preview Booth & his son Jordi, Besson-Lagarrigue, Gabart-Vandame, Heemskerk-Tentij and Styles-Mason in the top 3. One race only but a trend already from my preview and of course all stadandard candidates confirming their intentions.

The Sach bros and Reiss-Whitehad also good, and two young crews I didn´t mentioned but well known and on the rise that will perform : Bontemp-Amiot and Veenman-deWaard.

Taking account of two 90 boat fleets, Argies Rodger-Volker scored a 6th and Smith-Heuser 10th, both on a good start. Mehl-Aragones were in the top 3 when a rudder casting simply exploded, a pity and hope they can find a replacement set , but still much to come.
Local hopes Bissaro-Cesari matched their teammates De Paoli-Stella with a 9th.
