Palma World Cup Day 4: Mulder-Visser lead Final stage
I just don´t get this scoring system as your discards are not distributed in the overall when the final races begin (like F18/H16 Worlds) , check Charlie Begemann scores….
But here at Palma you don´t even carry the previous qualifying races results? So you can win 6Q races, 2F races, and have 2 DNC in next 2F races and you can end being last??? Or you can be dead last in all Q races, win last F ones and take the overall event? How come? For what do you even bother to race Q stage then?
Edit: The CF is the Carry position from QRaces but you can discard it at once on the FRaces. Still a joke as you can still not race any QR and win the event.
Well this is just like Olympic High Jump, you can decide when to enter. At Hyeres, I would select when to race then..and mind games at land could start getting importance beyond otw raw sailing ability/tactics/strategy.
If 25knots I don´t race to prevent breakages for ie.
Check Bundy’s comments:
“@Sofiamapfre_en What a crap scoring system, @ISAFupdates you need to get a little bit serious?? All those qualifying races and they are discardable. You can actually not compete in the qualification series, win the first heat of the finals and be leading the regatta. What are you thinking??”
