The A-Class Catamaran North American Championship will be held off shore at the Islander Resort, Islamorada, Florida October 11 – 16, 2011 (located at mile marker 82.1, Overseas Highway, US-1, Florida Keys). The A-Class catamaran is the highest performing singlehanded catamaran class in the world today, capable of achieving speeds of over 15 knots in breezes of 12 to 18 knots.
The competitors at this event are world class and will, while participating here, be preparing for the world championship to be held at the same Islamorada location, in October 2012.
This event is sponsored by the United States A-Class Association (USACA). Racing will begin at 12 noon each day from October 11th through October 16th. Three, possibly more races are scheduled each of the five competitive days. The USACA will provide awards for the new North American Champion and others that includes competitors in the top overall positions and Master and Grand Master awards for competitors over 50 and 60 years of age respectively. More than 40 Sailors from many states and Canada have already registered.

1000- First Signal – (Two Races Scheduled)
