Custom built

RC 16 platform
Well, enough of blblablba… time for some real hands on full work.
This is what I’m working on every day and I need to deilver 3 more, I’m a ‘little’ delayed due to some 3rd party construction offer that didn´t work that good.
So I had to build this baby by myself from the fiberglass layups, to painting and to the last hardware nut!
Before any comments on the spray rails, please notice this is a June 2007 design, pre Wildcat and we based it on Loday-White Spitfire rails but taken to almost the full lenght.

But the best part is the transom, a Formula windsurfing channeled type.
That bow ‘Torpedo Tube” that someone on Catsailor pointed at the time when they posted a link to it asking if it was an F16 (it complies with rules but is daggerless) is just a style touch, and it has several more that I will publish (with luck this weekend when it will be ready to sail)
It is more like a Nacra 500 style/dimensions.

The beams are not anodized, locally at BA (only) we have the river fresh water so its not that primordial, they have an alu primer and polyurethane marine paint, the nice touch is that they are matte, making a good constrast with the dolphin striker inox/alu and the hull white super polished deck. Something like Catamaran tuning…
It was a test to match mast color as there is only one company here with large pools for anodizing masts that charge more than the mast itself.

Not marketing images, but I wanted to share what I’m up to during the day, on weekends I have the cat school or F18 racing, at night I update this site so its a full on catsailing life! More pics on monday.

That satin finish on the beams does look pretty cool. Congrats.
