“The New generation” , “The best sailors on the fatest boats” were some of the phrases mentioned at the press conference. Finally in the 21st century some enlighted guys like Russell Coutts (best -monohull- sailor ever?) has embraced a well known truth by multihull sailors, high performance racing can only be done on the highest performer, and that means MULTIHULLS.
In a time when dinosaurs organizations like isaf banned catamarans from the Olympics, the event that every sailor look up to has transformed an old vision: “Multihulls are only for fun, not serious racing, and not for the Olympics of course”
Well welcome to the new Era, a new Paradigm was stablished today. A great day for The multihull community, who is the “the dark side” now?…….
