“The “Club de Voile de la Baie d’Erquy” (Erquy’s sailing association) has been created by a group of sailing and sport enthusiasts. Its aim is to participate to the development of this activity. It is a non profit-making association.
Activities:
* Organising regattas of various levels (from local to international)
* Having members taking the sea from Erquy’s harbour. (putting a bit of life into the harbour)
* Helping young to start with regattas.

“Our members are experienced since they have participated to the organisation of many events at Erquy in the past. By example:
* The First World Championship of Formula 18 (in 2000)
* 14 editions of our long distance race: The Costarmoricaine (2008, 2007, 2006, 2005, 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1995, 1994, 1993)
* The European Formula 18’s Championship in 1997
* The Hobie Cat 16’s French championship in 1992
* The French cup of sport catamaran in 1991
* The French championship (Optimist, Laser, 470) in 1989
Convinced that all those events contribute to make sailing better known from everyone, we try to have a major event each year in Erquy in addition to regional events that are shared among Breton’s associations”.
