F18 New ‘X’ prototype design from BCM at Erquy

Not much info as the Boulogne Conception Marine website doesn´t have any news about it. Manu and Vincent Boulogne , 2003 Worlds Champs on their own Cirrus design, showed up to race with this new prototype at Erquy for the 2010 F18 Worlds.
Ned F18 sailor, Tony Mels, took some pics on land and Alex Udin one sailing that I already published. In this pics what we can see its super fat&flat transom, a wave piercer profile too, but we can´t view the cross section here, and an elevated rear beam ‘a la’ Capricorn Arg modified version.
The Boulougne brothers had a good start at the Worlds with a 14th, but then a dnf, ocs, rdg that force them to the silver fleet where they finally took control and recovered with 1,1,2,2 among their results for a 3rd in that fleet.

Hope BCM release more info on the successor of their successfull Cirrus, a WChamp design and also a pioneer on big volume hulls. When designing my own F18 in July 2005, I took among others, their volume concept to have more margin, specially downwind.
Their Cirrus is still a design that can match any of the current modern wave-piercers , as Gurvan Bontemp and Hubert Savatier demonstrated in this past Worlds with a final 8th overall and with a provisional 3rd in day 3, seven top ten at Erquy…
Edit– More pics of the boat sent by Eric Noyau published in the cata fr yahoo group.
