F18: ‘Voiles de Seine’

This is the type of event Roland Gaebler is pushing for to promote multihull sailing, well done for the French F18 fleet.

By Francis Ferrari – On 12 and 13 June 2010, the first edition of Regatta Boulogne-Billancourt organized by the city and the club Voiles Seine Boulogne-Billancourt, has left a lasting impression! The public could watch an unusual show in the water at center of the city. The event was organized by the racers, that were happy to share their passion for sailing with the public citizen.
14 races completed, a high plateau level was assembled for this occasion, and several French champions were on the water.
“Voiles de Seine” it’s a race made inside Paris, on the Seine river.
We were 6 F18 for the first event. 14 races were held and Jeremy Lagarigue from Groupama was present too.
It was really great fun.

This is a promotional event for the F18 too, we won with Emmanuel on our C2, that was showed for 2 days on “Grand Place” at Boulogne, a big town near Paris were the event was held.
