F18 Summer training in Buenos Aires
While in Holland Mischa de Munck and his team train in frozen water (as reported last week) here in Argentina the racing season starts again, as we can sail year round and in Jan and Feb we don´t have much racing as everyone is on vacations…
Cruz Gonzalez Smith is training hard for next Worlds, as the other 4 crews that will represent us at Erquy. We started racing F18 in 2008, and now we have 5 boats at next Worlds… not bad!
I’m finally taking a break after some incredible years on the F18 Arg project… going surfing on Easter holidays. On 2010 I will work on launching the RC F18 II although I have more feedback now after the AC and other developments 😉 and the design may change, but I want those full bottom channels on the F18, they´ve worked perfect on the RC 16 since 2007.
Maybe a Grainger cruiser project from my cousin/partner too, 2012 is coming and we need our own Arc!
I just heard that my great sailing friend and former CEO of Hobiecat Europe has passed. May The endless oceans…
