For those wondering how hard is sailing the +20knots ‘Sudeste’ winds in our river here you have a good example.

Check horizon line trembling non stop, how bows submerge and recover, a nice ‘ramp jump’ and also at the end going downwind (no spi) how waves are resembling ski mountain bumps… those similar conditions we had yesterday, add a hoisted spi and you have a good receipe for going down! no matter how trimmed you are sailing.
That´s why extreme wave piercers with less volume are not ideal for our river in these conditions. Wave size, type, amplitude and raw force are quite special and unexpected situations are common as waves are a complete mess…
