Zhik F18 Americas Continental @Sarasota: Day 2 Results
Images Tim Wilkes. ww.timwilkes.com | Gunnar Larsen & Ferdinand van West take the lead after 8 races. Youths Reiss & Whitehead 2nd and US top guns Easton-Burd 3rd.
But the news again is the Arg teams, 7th & 8th. Our local fleet is without a doubt the most competitive F18 fleet around on our short history , number of boats and performance achieved at major events. 3 Top 25 at Grossetto and now two top ten. Still much to go, but already a strong statement made by Juan Faustín-Nico Aragonés & Cruz G Smith-Mariano Heuser.
So proud of these guys, 3 of them helped to build fleet from scratch and Nico is part of the new generation that will take the Arg flag to the level Santi Lange & Camau Espínola showed in the Olympic Tornado in 2004 & 2008.
Just came back from the boatyard where I’m currently working on an Alu Trailer project, the Surfski wood model & 16′ Cat building, so more info on the event later.
